Strategic Global Partnership to Integrate Wireless Stump-Camera Technology Across CORE High Performance Centres, CYCL Championships and Player Development Programmes
The International Federation of Corporate Cricket (IFCC) and CORE Global are proud to announce a strategic global partnership with StumpEye, bringing its innovative wireless stump-camera technology into the expanding CORE cricket development ecosystem worldwide.
The partnership follows the successful deployment of StumpEye during the CORE Youth Cricket League (CYCL) UK Edition 2026 at Oakham School, where the technology became one of the standout innovations of the tournament.
Players were able to review match situations from a unique on-field perspective, coaches gained additional visual information to support player development and match officials responded positively to the potential of the technology for grassroots cricket.
Following the UK experience, IFCC & CORE plan to progressively integrate StumpEye across:
- CORE High Performance Centres and academies
- CYCL national and international championships
- International tours and bilateral series
- Player development and coaching programmes
- Match and training performance review
- Coach and umpire development
- Selected livestreaming and digital-content initiatives
The objective is simple: bring technology traditionally associated with professional cricket closer to young players and grassroot cricket communities around the world.
Bringing the Professional Game Closer to the Grassroots
StumpEye describes itself as the world’s first wireless stump-camera system, combining a patented camera-enabled stump with wireless connectivity and its supporting app. The system is portable and designed for use across cricket grounds, parks, indoor facilities and training environments.
The technology has been developed for multiple stakeholders; including players, coaches, teams, clubs, parents and umpires and can support both training and live-match environments.
StumpEye’s innovation has also gained international recognition. The company won the ICC NIUM Global Hackathon 2.0, which involved 22,000 teams from 118 countries and in May 2026 was named Sports Startup of the Year at the Smarter Sports 2026 Awards. Five-time ICC Umpire of the Year Simon Taufel also serves as StumpEye’s Brand Ambassador and Advisor.
Sanjeeb Mohanty, Co-Founder, CORE Cricket and Director CORE Cricket UK commented “What impressed us most at CYCL UK was how naturally StumpEye became part of the tournament environment. Players could review the game from an entirely new perspective, coaches immediately recognised its development value and the response from the umpires was extremely encouraging. We therefore see this as much bigger than a single tournament partnership. Our ambition is to progressively take StumpEye across CORE locations, CYCL championships and development programmes globally, giving grassroots cricketers access to technology and learning environments that were once largely associated with the professional game.”
Mihir Mehta — Founder, StumpEye further commented “StumpEye was created with a simple belief: professional-grade cricket technology should become accessible and practical for the grassroot game. Working with IFCC & CORE gives us an exciting opportunity to take that vision to young cricketers across countries, academies and tournaments. The CYCL UK experience demonstrated the value this technology can bring to players, coaches and officials and we look forward to expanding that impact across the CORE global ecosystem.”
StumpEye itself grew from Mihir’s experience as a cricket coach looking for a less intrusive and more useful way of capturing his young son’s cricket. The product subsequently went through more than three-and-a-half years of R&D and multiple iterations before reaching its current form. (StumpEye)
Building a Technology-Enabled Global Cricket Ecosystem
The StumpEye partnership forms part of CORE’s wider strategy to combine world-class coaching, technology, performance analytics, international competition and structured player pathways.
StumpEye brings a unique eye to the action. CORE coaches turn technology and data into player development.
Together, these capabilities support CORE’s ambition to create a globally connected cricket ecosystem where a young player’s geography does not determine the quality of technology, coaching or development opportunities available to them.
PLAY. CAPTURE. ANALYSE. LEARN. IMPROVE.
