CORE is committed to ensuring all children and young adults participating in cricket have a safe and positive experience and everyone they encounter understands the role they must play. To fulfil this responsibility effectively, all professionals should make sure their approach is child centred. This means that they should consider, at all times, what is in the best interests of the child or young adults they work with and their wishes and feelings. If the children and young adults are to receive the right help at the right time, everyone who comes into contact with them has the responsibility in identifying concerns, sharing information and taking prompt action.
At CORE we fully recognise our responsibilities and duties to have in place arrangements to safeguard and promote the welfare of all the children and young adults regardless of age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, ability or disability within our programme. We recognise that all staff (regardless of employment status), including volunteers, have a full and active part in protecting children and young adults from harm and should be aware of all policies in place and their role in the process. Our policies stand for all the programmes that are run across the country. They will be in place at each CORE location and followed by everyone on the team and those that we work with.
