CORE Cricket Completes First Elite Masterclass in the UAE, – Launches a Global Pathway for the Next Generation of Professional Cricketers

CORE Cricket has successfully concluded its first CORE Elite Cricket Masterclass, delivered across Sharjah Cricket Ground and Zenith Cricket Center, marking a significant milestone in its mission to bring governance, structure, and long-term sustainability to grassroots and youth cricket globally.

The three-day high-performance program was led by Mudassar Nazar, Founding Member of CORE Cricket, and brought together 100 of the region’s most promising young cricketers, including players from the UAE Under-19 setup and senior national team training pool. The Masterclass was designed to expose young players to elite standards of preparation, discipline, and match realism at an early stage of their development.

Unlike conventional short-term camps, the CORE Elite Masterclass followed a structured, assessment-led framework, focusing on technical evaluation, high-intensity net rotations, advanced fielding, match simulations, recovery protocols, and individual performance feedback. The objective was to ensure players understand how elite cricket is trained for, governed, and performed—while developing professional habits early.

A dedicated Performance Nutrition & Recovery Session was delivered by Suraj Thakuria, celebrity performance nutritionist to 20+ international and IPL cricketers. The session covered match-day fueling, hydration and recovery strategies, nutrition for sustained energy and focus, injury prevention, and the importance of building smart habits early—reinforcing CORE Cricket’s belief that early nutritional education is critical to long-term performance and player longevity.

A Global Vision Anchored in Standards and Leagues

The Elite Masterclass serves as the gateway to CORE Cricket’s global roadmap, which includes rolling out this model internationally, followed by the launch of structured National and International Grassroots Leagues under a unified governance and performance framework.

Speaking on CORE Cricket’s entry into the UAE and its long-term vision, Shazad Altaf, who led CORE’s establishment in the region, said: “The objective is not short-term success, but long-term excellence. CORE is building a globally standardised pool of players who understand professionalism, discipline, and performance expectations early. By combining elite training with governed national and international leagues, we are preparing tomorrow’s cricketers to compete confidently on the global stage.”

At the conclusion of the program, Mudassar Nazar added: “Great players are not discovered by chance. They are built through structure, discipline, and repeatable standards. CORE is creating an ecosystem where young cricketers learn how to prepare and compete professionally from the very beginning.”
